Treatment is suitable for the face and body, is quick and results can be seen after just a few sessions.
A course of treatments is usually required at 4 - 8 weekly intervals to follow the hair growth cycle. Treatment will leave your skin feeling smooth, soft and free from painful in-growing hairs.

WHY DO I NEED A COURSE OF TREATMENTS?
In an ideal world, hair removal would be done in one session! However, since each and every hair grows at a different rate, a course of treatments is required.
Each hair goes through three stages, the first is anagen. This is the first and most visible stage; when its above the skin and ready to be removed. The hair is still attached to the papilla and remains at this stage for 2/3 weeks. The hairs in this stage will be destroyed during the IPL session.
The second stage is catagen. This stage occurs between growth and rest, the hair will shed at this stage as it leaves the papilla. IPL isn't always successful targeting hairs at this stage as the light energy cannot reach the follicle if the hair has left the papilla.

The third stage is telogen, the rest stage. Hairs at this stage will not be removed during an IPL treatment. These hairs will shred, ready for new hair to grow and go through the stages.

Since each individual hair on our body is at a different stage in the hair cycle, it is important to have several sessions to ensure all the hair in the area has been treated, when in the anagen stage. Depending on the area being treated, most people need between 5 and 10 sessions to completly remove unwanted hair.
